There was none. This was deprecated by Chris Dumez (no longer working in Blink) in https://crbug.com/367866 which reached stable with M36 in July.

Summary

Remove NodeIterator.expandEntityReferences and TreeWalker.expandEntityReferences.

Motivation

They always return false and have been removed from the DOM Standard:

https://dom.spec.whatwg.org/#dom-traversal

It's already been removed in Gecko.

Usage information from UseCounter

https://www.chromestatus.com/metrics/feature/timeline/popularity/354

https://www.chromestatus.com/metrics/feature/timeline/popularity/355

To date, it hasn't reached the 0.0001% that shows up in these graphs. It looks like many days the counters haven't been hit at all.

Entry on chromestatus.com

None.

Compatibility Risk

Virtually zero, given the false->undefined change and ~0% usage.

I can see the internal numbers behind the chromestatus.com graphs, and yeah, the suspicion of not being hit is pretty accurate.
