Dear Apps-Dev

As per the process here for new APIs, we are sharing the design doc for a new Extension API proposal for Certificate Management.

This will be applicable only on Chrome OS and only for Extensions that have been explicitly whitelisted by policy.

Here is the proposal

Thanks in advance for your feedback

FWIW, it would be great to see this API land in //extensions rather than //chrome/.../extensions unless there's a compelling reason why its implementation should have Chrome dependencies.

It's enterprise only, probably chromeos only, putting it in //extensions doesn't seem right.
