I apologize if you are receiving multiple copies of this note. I'm forwarding this to several distribution lists to ensure that all of Dave Wiley's barbershop friends, accumulated over his 30-year membership, know of his passing and the chorus' invitation and intent to participate in his funeral services on Friday.

See Chad's note below for details of how the chorus will participate and songs we may sing. If you need access to the charts or learning tracks, respond to me (dic...@aol.com) and I will provide a link to what you need.

Although not required to sing... the recommended attire is chorus-red over black.

Peace,
Dick Hartrick

Subject: [chorus] Wiley Service

Chorus and guests,

I just spoke with Dave’s daughter, Heather.  She is delighted we are able to sing for the family after the service.  The plan is to have us sing at the beginning of the luncheon.  The service starts at 11:00 and is planning to last an hour.  The family would like us to sing 2-3 songs at the beginning of the luncheon located in the gymnasium of East Bay Calvary church.  The address is 2225 Hammond Rd E
Traverse City, MI  49686

We will plan to meet immediately after the service at 12:00 in the gymnasium.  It will take the family a few moments to say their final goodbye as they load up the casket.  It is expected we will sing around 12:30, but be flexible if possible.

We will sing Swing Down Chariot and Irish Blessing for sure. If we have enough Lead support, we will also sing either When I Lift Up My Head or From the First Hello to the last Goodbye.  Dick will send out learning tracks and music to those who need it.  If you are unsure, bring your music. It is completely acceptable to use it in cases like this.

Dave was a 30 year member of the chorus and BHS.  Barbershop was an important part of his life.  His family has all mentioned how much they love hearing us perform.  Let’s give him a good send off!

Yours for a song,
