Need Refreshments and Volunteers for Monday, Dec 12

Smith MathCounts Club,

The School MathCounts Competition is less than a week away (Monday, Dec. 12).  Medals and trophies have arrived.  There is a first place trophy and 2nd and 3rd place medals for each grade level.  I expect we will end up with close to 70 students competing.  About the top 15, including some from each grade level, will continue training as part of the Smith MathCounts Team.  The MathCounts Club will be over for this year for the rest of us.

MathCounts will last longer than normal that day...we will finish around 5:00.  The Awards Ceremony will be held about 4:45.

We will have refreshments and a small party after the contest (while the tests are being scored in a back room) followed by a short awards ceremony.  

We need some parent help with:

- bring in refreshments (drinks, salty snacks, sweet snacks, paper plates, plastic cups, paper towels)

- supervising students in library from 4:00 - 5:00

- scoring tests

Thank you very much ...I have enough volunteers now, and I have contacted each of the volunteers by email.

If you want to come and pitch in, you are welcome to help with supervision on Monday from 4:00 - 5:00 and/or send a snack contribution with your child.  We are already in good shape.
