Dear Survey Committee Members,

Please find attached the summary of our meeting in Punta del Este for your consideration. Sorry about the delay but the activities around GCARD II and other aspects of the survey itself took all the attention until early this week.

As a brief update of the advances made for the survey I would like to inform you that we continue working for completing the partners list by CRP. We estimate to have up to 13 completed lists for next week. In addition, we are closely working with Globescan to develop a good draft of the questionnaire so we can share it with you next week for your inputs and approval.

At this point and as discussed during the meeting, we are trying to move forward as fast as possible in order to avoid Christmas time for performing the survey.

We look forward to receiving your comments, if any, about the summary.

Thank you and best regards,

Daniela

Dear Daniela

Thanks notes are very clear and capture what was discussed. A couple of queries:

Page 2 “5) inclusion of potential stakeholders as CRPs provide.   “  Not clear to me exactly what is meant by this.

“It was noted that the CRPs will likely need more time to compile lists – perhaps another two to three more weeks. This will put the whole project back equivalently. GlobeScan will move along, as planned with the questionnaire, translation, and programming so that when lists are received it can launch the Survey. According to the schedule, the launch date is week of 12 November”

This is somewhat confusing as the two to three weeks runs from when the meeting was held, and actually three weeks from then would take us to the week of 19 November. But then the last line says the official launch is 1st November. So what actually is the launch date we now have in mind and what is meant by “launch”?

Best regards

Graham

Thank you very much for your comments Graham.

Regarding the point in page 2, it`s not completely clear indeed. We intended to incorporate there the part of the discussion where we talked about potential partners. To a good extent I understood we agreed in including potential partners as they come in the list elaborated by the CRPs giving them enough flexibility as "potentiality" could have several conceptual shortcomings. Maybe we make it clearer in the summary.

You are right about "launch" usage either. We used the word in two different contexts: launch of the initiative by Frank versus launch of the survey itself (sending the questionnaire). It could me misleading so we are going to rephrase it after receiving other comments.

Best,

Daniela

Dear Daniela,

Many thanks. Looks like things are reasonably well on schedule and properly organized.

I may have missed something but will the committee get a chance to give comments on the questions before they are sent out?

Kind greetings, Teunis.

Dear Daniela,

In addition to my previous email I do have one quick question, though. Upon completion of the internal interviews, will a brief report summarizing the findings be released? This would prove helpful when reviewing the draft questionnaire, which I understand we will receive sometime next week.

Thank you and kind greetings, Teunis.

Dear Teunis,

We are working intensively with Globescan to provide the Committee the first draft questionnaire this week. In reference to the internal interviews, yes, Globescan will provide us a brief report highlighting the main findings without identifying the persons interviewed.

We keep in touch.

Kind regards,

Daniela
