Meeting in Punta - Internal interviews

I think that it is important to interview not only people on inside, but also partners on the outside. So could you please provide us some good contacts of this group? In Asia?.
As agreed in the kickoff meeting, we are planning to have a meeting with those members of the Committee who will attend GCARDII (Fiona, Graham and Mark), plus Eric plus Frank, Martin and myself
The purpose of this meeting will be:
- Feedback from Globescan regarding the internal interviews. Globescan’s attendance to the conference will be an excellent opportunity for them to receive high quality feedback about the CGIAR and Partnerships. We will also schedule personal interviews for Eric with DGs, Donors and other key actors.
- Refine/Polish the list of partners to be surveyed
- Discuss the questionnaire
- Review the timeline and deliverables.
Checking the agenda of GCARD II and parallel meetings, we would propose to meet on October 29th from 15.30 to 17.00 hrs. This date and time takes into account the coffee break of this session scheduled for 15.30, first Frank’s intervention planned on Tuesday am where he may launch the survey, and of course the agenda of GCARD itself. This proposed time overlaps with the sub-session of Enhancing collaboration among G20. But it is the most suitable time considering the tight agenda of that week.

Hi Daniela,
Thanks for the excellent recap and responding to my queries. My only comment on the list of persons for internal interviews is to suggest that we, as committee members, aren’t included as I believe we have ample opportunity to provide input to the entire process. I would rather see the spots released to other stakeholders perhaps the heads of some of the regional fora and more representation from Asia.
On another completely different note, I’d greatly value your advice on a couple of nice restaurants in Punta del Este (near the Conference venue) that would be open both at lunch and dinner. I see that the Conrad has five restaurants/lounges – would you recommend any of these?

Dear Survey Committee Members,
Following the kickoff meeting (last Wednesday), we received Fiona´s comments in written which, by the way, were very interesting to think about some important aspects of the survey. We asked Globescan to give us some inputs provided that they could answer more precisely to some items. Likewise, we added some comments that could complement the responses given by Globescan in some specific issues. Please find the document attached which we highly recommend to read.
According to the schedule, we need to send the list of persons for the internal interviews in the coming days. We are sending you a tentative list in Alphabetical order which includes your suggestions. We kept it in 22 names so far, which we think is enough but feel free to provide more names for consideration as presumably we won´t have a 100% effectiveness in contacting all of them.
We look forward to receiving your comments, if any, regarding Fiona´s comment and the list. If you agree with intend to send it to Globescan by the end of this week.
Please note that we did not receive further corrections to the summary of the kick-off meeting. We therefore consider it approved.
