Dear Survey Committee Members,

After several months working together I´m very pleased to inform you that we have published the 2012 Stakeholders Perception Survey report of results on our website. This report is based on Globescan full report discussed earlier this year and only the CGIAR section was released to the public (CRPs scorecards are not present). We also included the CGIAR Action Plan on Partnership which was produced considering the results of the Survey. You can access both documents here:

http://www.cgiar.org/consortium-news/stronger-partnerships-for-development-impact/

The public release of the survey results implies the end of the work of the Survey Committee as such. We will now continue working on partnership and related issues using the results of the Survey as basis. For instance as depicted in the Action Plan we are planning to create a CGIAR Partnership Working Group that will be in charge of defining a Partnership Strategy at the CGIAR level. You are more than welcome to be part of this working group.

I personally believe it has been a very productive process with highly positive results for the CGIAR. As it was our objective back in August 2012, we now have a more precise understanding about how our stakeholders perceive us regarding several areas of partnerships and overall functioning of the CGIAR. Furthermore, we now have a baseline to compare with future surveys and make a valid assessment of progress.

The contribution of the Survey Committee has been crucial to enhance the whole survey process quality and I´m sure CGIAR will harvest the results of our joint efforts for many years from now.

Thank you very much; I look forward to continue working with you on this challenging area of partnerships very soon.

Best regards,

Daniela

Dear Daniela

I second the vote of thanks. I appreciated your openness to take on board our concerns and manage a complex process very transparently. I agree this was a valuable exercise despite a few glitches. I am also interested to continue in partnerships working group, but would like to know a bit more about what is entailed.

Best regards

Graham

Dear Daniela,

Likewise thank you very much for having carried this process through. I know we haven't always seen eye to eye on the process, but that's the joy of a group!  The survey result is very interesting and I think reveals quite a significanat underlying trend that would be close to what we hear from many partners.

Going forward, I look forward to working with you and all those involved in the subsequent working group to help bring out the best possible values from the CGIAR's work.

With all best wishes to all involved.

Mark

Dear Teunis,

Thank you for your interest on the follow-up of the survey and sorry for not answering before but I was on holiday break.

Regarding your question, the CGIAR Partnership Working Group has not been created yet. The  Consortium Office is in the process of appointing somebody that will be responsible for developing the area of partnerships based on the results of the survey. Once the responsible professional is appointed, she/he will contact the members of the partnerships group created for the survey to start working on the implementation of the action plan.

Meanwhile, we are working on some of the issues agreed upon in the action plan such as capacity building, under the responsibility of Luis Solorzano.

On my side and as a follow-up on the work I did for the survey, I am currently developing new partnerships in the Latin American and Caribbean  to strengthen the presence of the CGIAR in this region.

I also take the opportunity to wish you a successful  2014. I have no doubt that we will work together on this challenge area of partnerships in ARD.

With my best personal regards,

Daniela
