Town Hall Meeting on Chandra's Distributed Peer Review for Cycle 27
The Chandra X-ray Center would like to remind the community that the Cycle 27 proposal deadline is Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at 6 p.m. EDT (UTC-4) and that the Chandra Peer Review will be performed through a distributed model, also known as a distributed peer review (DPR).
As detailed in Section 9.1 of the Cycle 27 Call for Proposals (CfP), in Chandra's Distributed Peer Review each proposing team will designate a team member who will be responsible for reviewing 10-16 proposals submitted to this CfP. To help familiarize the community with the procedure, we invite you to attend a virtual Town Hall meeting next week on Thursday, February 27th, 2025 starting at 12 p.m. EST (UTC-5).

The agenda for the Town Hall will include:
an overview of the motivation for the transition to DPR,
considerations for how the DPR might influence the content and style of your proposals,
requirements and expectations for designated reviewers,
a timeline for the DPR reviews, and,
a question and answer period.
