DISCOVERY AWAITS CHANDRA’S SCIENCE PLANS FOR 2025

We are excited to present an overview of Chandra Cycle 26, illustrating some of the program's highlights for the 2025–2026 observation cycle. This document provides key insights into approved programs across various domains, including:

  • Black Hole Physics: Cutting-edge studies on accretion, jets, and black hole evolution.

  • Galaxy Evolution: Exploring feedback mechanisms and interplay between stars, gas, and black holes.

  • Exoplanets & Star Formation: Probing stellar impacts on planetary habitability and protoplanetary disk evolution.

  • Time Domain & Multimessenger Astrophysics: Investigating transient phenomena such as kilonovae and gamma-ray bursts, with collaborations involving LIGO, JWST, and the Vera Rubin Observatory.

  • Legacy Programs: Two major initiatives focusing on the Perseus Cluster and the galactic ecosystems.

This brochure is an essential resource highlighting Chandra's synergy with JWST, ALMA, and other observatories, while demonstrating its crucial role in addressing fundamental astrophysical questions.
