Chandra Announcement: Chandra CalDB version 4.9.8 released

Chandra CalDB version 4.9.8 released to the public

The CXC announces the public release of Chandra CalDB version 4.9.8. This upgrade includes the following items:

* HRC-I/Grating angle corrections
* HRC-S QEU file set upgrade version N0016

* PCAD ALIGN updates version N0010, a new 18-file set with effective dates 2013-2021 (used in standard data processing, not CIAO)

Users who do not wish to download the full CalDB, but would rather access it via the web for their specific observations only, may use the CIAO contributed script "download_obsid_caldb". Note that the web-accessible CalDB may take a day or two to be upgraded to this latest CalDB release.
