Release of the Sherpa 4.16.1 package for Python
The Sherpa 4.16.1 package for Python for general usage outside CIAO was released on May 21, 2024.
This release of Sherpa highlights include:
Enhancements to display capabilities:
support for splitting model expression into additive components and plotting the results;
support of log scale axes for confidence plots;
improved error messages for unavailable plot backends;
improved RMF plot display to allow for a choice of energy units;
fixed multi-panel plot issue with Bokeh backend
Documentation changes:
updates to fake_pha documentation;
updates to install.rst to fix incorrect links and outdated version references;
updated read the docs documentation to match current code
Infrastructure and testing:
improved test coverage;
