Chandra Announcement: for Chandra Proposers Impacted by COVID-19

If you are intending to submit a Chandra proposal, but find that your ability to work or collaborate is strongly impacted by COVID-19 or restrictions to contain the virus, please read this announcement. The CXC is considering a small Supplemental Cycle 22 Call for Proposals (CfP) to occur later this year for impacted researchers. If this supplemental CfP goes forward, full and final details would be circulated over the summer. At this time, we estimate that approximately 500ks could be available, and no Large, Very Large, Archive or Theory proposals would be solicited. Approved targets would likely be scheduled later than those approved for the normal Cycle 22 CfP, due April 2nd, 2020. Furthermore, if this supplemental CfP is offered, proposals that are not approved in the normal Cycle 22 review may not be revised and/or resubmitted. Proposals approved via a supplementary call would be eligible for funding.
