Invited Speakers, Closing of Poster Abstract Submission,and CIAO Hack Day
We are delighted to announce the invited speakers for the Chandra Science Workshop on Chandra’s Dynamic Universe to be held in Cambridge, MA USA from August 18-20, 2026:

Jonker (Radbound University) Nayana AJ (University of California, Berkeley) Andrew Mummery (Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton) Riccardo Arcodia (Black Hole Initiative at Harvard University) Claudio Ricci (University of Geneva) Daniel Kocevski (NASA Marshall Space Flight Center)
Invited speakers will cover various topics including black holes, neutron stars, X-ray binaries, stellar physics and exoplanets, supernova remnants and planetary nebulae, Gamma-ray bursts, fast X-ray transients, supernovae and fast blue optical transients, active galactic nuclei, quasi-periodic eruptions, and tidal disruption events.
Please note that the last chance for contributing poster abstract submissions for the Chandra science workshop, “Chandra's Dynamic Universe,” is Thursday, June 18, 2026.
All abstracts submitted by this deadline will be considered for poster presentations.

Preceding the workshop is the first Chandra/CIAO Hack Day on Monday, August 17, 2026. Please bring your Chandra/CIAO data analysis questions, scripts, notebooks, or new analysis ideas to discuss with CXC experts.
