SAOTrace 2.0.5:

SAOTrace 2.0.5 is now available, superseding version 2.0.4. There should be no user-visible changes in this release.

This releases supports more current Linux and MacOS platforms, and provides binary distributions for Linux, as well as a Docker image.

SAOTrace is supported on the following platforms:
  • Linux Mint 20
  • Debian 10 & 11
  • CentOS 7 & 8
  • Fedora 34
  • Ubuntu 20.04 & 20.10
  • MacOS X 10.14 & 10.15

To Chandra CIAO 4.12 Users:

The CXC announces the public release of Chandra CalDB version 4.9.3. This upgrade
includes the following items:
* ACIS T_GAIN updates affecting recent OBS_IDs (since 2019-05-02T12:00:00)
* A modified HRC-I GTI_LIM file for the HRC-I Voltage Ramp-up period on 2020-09-29.

Users who do not wish to download the full CalDB, but would rather access it via the web for their specific observations only, may use the CIAO contributed script "download_obsid_caldb". Note that the web-accessible CalDB may take a day or two to be upgraded to this latest CalDB release.
