The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, formerly known as the Wide-Field InfraRed Survey Telescope, is planned for launch in late 2025 as NASA’s next Great Observatory. As a survey telescope with approximately 100 times the field of view of the Hubble Space Telescope and comparable sensitivity and angular resolution, the Roman Space Telescope will open a high-resolution wide-field window on the infrared universe. The observing program will consist of Core Community Surveys serving as a cornerstone for multiple scientific investigations, and General Observer (GO) targeted surveys.

Space Telescope Science Institute is the Science Operations Center for the Roman Space Telescope. The STScI Director has established an Advisory Committee, the WSTAC to advise on optimum strategies and priorities for the imaging science program. Following their advice, we are soliciting input on the anticipated science drivers. We have compiled a short community questionnaire.

Please take a few moments to complete this survey to help frame the size, scope and scientific breadth of the Core Community Surveys and the GO observations. We are seeking input from as many potential users of Roman Space Telescope data as possible to understand what is needed to achieve the full scientific potential of this amazing observatory.

Please respond by close of business on June 15th.
