Club News
• Twice a club mum has had to clean up the microwave after finding gross & health violating conditions in it. Eg. If you spill something in there, YOU HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP IMMEDIATELY!
• We have a new electronic bow scale with measurements set up in the Titan Shed. Finally, an accurate bow scale and setup. (+/- 50g)
• Congrats to June’s Monthly medal winner, Lionel Smith (again). Valiant efforts by ChrisK🥈, & Brian🥉 to try to defeat him. Spider medal finally went to Pierre for the first time. 🕷😲
• The club will be hosting free semi-regular Compound Bow Maintenance & Training sessions, run by our L2 Coach Pierre on most Sundays (TBA). The format for the training sessions will likely be:
- Warm-up (~10 min)
- Blank butt (~20 min)
- Training with a plan/purpose (~90+ min)
- 360 round @ practice distance (6 ends @ 6 arrows each)
• Please welcome our newest, fully approved club members: 👏👏👏👏
(U14) Mikayla Le, Ryan Luttrell & (Open) Danielle Argent, Cheryl Roney
Club Records

Etiquette
When you’ve finished shooting, please quietly step back from the Shooting Line to the Waiting Line to give other archers a chance to finish without interruption. Ideally, make your exit from the line when the archers are not in the middle of their shot process.
“Alternative” Archery Facts
“You can tune a bow, but you can’t tune a fish!”
Tip of the Week.
📰🕑 Realtime Archery News & Tips 📱📞
For those of you who want even moar archeryz, the club has two WhatsApp group chats: One for general club stuff (link), and another for Coaching & Bow setup etc. The former, just click the link and it will allow you to request to join. For the latter group, talk to Pierre in the General group, or find him in person at the club.
Safety Tip
Camouflage
Archery Australia allows camouflaged archery gear (bows etc) at events in the spirit of understanding and inclusiveness of non-Target archers. That relaxation does not extend to clothing, where it is considered a safety issue. Any form of Camouflage colouring on anything is discouraged under various Archery rules. Yes, even hot pink camo! World Archery ranking events (most international tournaments) are run under strict WA rules, where it is not just discouraged, anything Camo/hunting is flatly not allowed.
In short, if you bring any camo archery gear 99% of the time you’ll be okay in Australia. Camo clothing on the other hand, you'll be asked to cover up, change, or risk being sent from the field.
