This program is organised and delivered by Marcus, with CAC providing the venue. Coaching arrangements are directly between participants and Marcus.
Program Structure
Weekly Group Training: Every Thursday, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Centenary Archers Club.
These sessions will follow a structured program designed and supplied by Marcus. These will include time for personal practice on technique as previously prescribed by Marcus, plus competition practice such as short ranking rounds and match play.
Facilitated by Kristy Chamberlain to ensure the program runs smoothly.
Please note: Kristy will not be coaching any technical aspects
Monthly Intensive Weekends: Two 4-hour coaching blocks on the last Saturday and Sunday of each month (Oct, Nov, Feb, Mar, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep).
These sessions will be run in person by Marcus, providing direct, high-quality coaching.
No formal sessions in December, January and April.
First session will be 1pm to 5pm 25th Oct, and 9am to 1pm 26th Oct. Weekly Thurs sessions will follow this introductory weekend. The Oct intensive will be a one-off payment of $40 pp with no further commitment required. This is to allow you to decide if you'd like to continue the following month.
Attendance Requirement:
Once committed to the program, regular Thursday attendance is essential. Without consistent participation, archers will not qualify for the monthly intensive coaching weekends, and money will not be reimbursed.
Cost:
$20 per week, payable at the start of each month (pro-rata).
Standard club range fees also apply.

About Marcus Anear:
Marcus is a Level 3 Archery Coach with a distinguished background in both compound and recurve archery. As an elite compound archer, Marcus has competed at the highest levels, bringing first-hand knowledge of the physical, technical, and mental demands of the sport.
As a coach, he has worked with athletes in both disciplines, helping them achieve state, national, and international success. In recurve, he has worked with a number of national coaches and coached at both the Australian and Victorian Institutes of Sport. He has developed more than two dozen international-level archers, including several international medallists, using this proven high-performance model.
Marcus has been a coach on multiple Australian teams, guiding archers at international events and providing performance coaching to athletes of all levels. His dual expertise in compound and recurve means that athletes benefit from a broad skill set, technical precision, and a deep understanding of what it takes to excel.
