Hey fellow archers,
We will be starting festivities & activities at 10am tomorrow (Saturday). Gates will probably be open shortly before that. Yes, we are having a lazy start. It's Festivus!

The Archery Elves have been busy. The Xmas Tree clout has been set up. Decorations hung. Fridges stocked with food and drinks.

We will kick off with the Xmas clout event at 10am on the lower field.
Club arrows & bows only. We have an adult line & a kids line which will shoot simultaneously.
That should take us to about 11-12ish. Where we will retire to the shade and shoot the Elimination Challenge. Again, club bows & arrows.
That will take us to lunch time (up near the club house) Estimate time is probably 12:30pm-1pm. During lunch, there will be presentations & knowing Brian, a speech. ;-)

Immediately after lunch, there will be the traditional Rob vs Kids/Everybody water fight while there is no archery, and we set up the other events.
The afternoon events will run concurrently:
  • Ironbow Challenge (Trophy up for grabs)
  • Pin the tail on the VI (blind) archer team event. Find yourself a partner.
  • Speed shooting competition (There is a prize)
  • Defending the club against marauding Watermelons, Rockmelons, pumpkins, & apples.
  • Snakes & Ladders, Tic-tac-toe, Battleships, Darts  ... archery style.
  • Typical archery practice.
Food & drinks (& Zooper Doopers/Icecreams) in the club fridges is all fair game.
(Lunch is all cold stuff. Eg. Sushi, Wraps, Sliders, Sandwiches, Spicy chicken wings, salads (greek/coleslaw/roasted veg & couscous), Potato & Corn chips etc, & ... Choc Mud Cake) There is.veggie options in the wraps, sandwiches, & sushi. Drinks are all canned/bottled with diet/no-sugar options available. Sparkling & plain bottled water.

You don't have to bring anything other than your appetite & a sense of fun.  If you want to bring food to share, feel free, but it isn't required.

Just remember, NO ALCOHOL at the club please.

See you all there, be you naughty or nice!

David
