All,

On August 17, 2025, the CCADB will be updated to enhance non-audit document (e.g., policy documents) records to start including the CA Owner as a part of the unique key.

The CCADB will be unavailable to CA Owners from August 17, 2025, at approximately 08:00PM PDT, until August 18, 2025, at approximately 08:00PM PDT.

The new functionality should:

  • Update the non-audit document program to include the CA Owner as part of the unique key. Prior to the release of this enhancement, we used a combination of Document Type, Document URL, and Last Update Date to form the unique key. After this release, the key will also include the CA Owner. For externally-operated CAs, this will prevent two different CA Owners from inadvertently overwriting the same non-audit document. [1971589]

The NON-AUDIT DOCUMENTS tab user guide will be updated to reflect the changes from this enhancement in more detail.

We will send another message at the completion of the update.

Thank you

-Chris, on behalf of the CCADB Steering Committee

The CCADB update to enhance non-audit document (e.g., policy documents) records to start including the CA Owner as a part of the unique key is now complete.

This update changed the non-audit document program to include the CA Owner as part of the unique key. Prior to the release of this enhancement, we used a combination of Document Type, Document URL, and Last Update Date to form the unique key. Post-release, the key will additionally incorporate the CA Owner. For externally-operated CAs, this will prevent two different CA Owners from inadvertently overwriting the same non-audit document. The NON-AUDIT DOCUMENTS tab user guide was updated to reflect the changes from this enhancement in more detail.

Please continue to contact CCADB Support (sup...@ccadb.org) with any questions regarding the CCADB.

Thank you
