All,

On September 16, 2025, the CCADB will be updated to harmonize policy document field names by (1) changing instances of “Last Update Date” to “Effective Date” and (2) better reflect document supersession relative to the current date.

The CCADB will be unavailable to CA Owners from September 16, 2025, at approximately 08:00PM PDT, until September 17, 2025, at approximately 08:00PM PDT.

The new functionality should:

  • Remove the `Is Superseded?` field from the custom “Non-Audit Documents” tab on the certificate record page layout and instead allow the `Show Superseded` function on the page to convey any document record that has a `Superseded Date` value that is less than the current date. If the CA Owner specifies a `Superseded Date` value that is in the future, the CCADB will conditionally color the date value green. [1971589]
  • Update the associated CP, CPS, CP/CPS, and MD/AsciiDoc CP/CPS fields to reflect `Effective Date` instead of `Last Update Date` on intermediate certificate record “Details” tabs, certificate records “Non-Audit Documents” tabs, and the “Root Certificates with Outdated Non-Audit Documents CA Task List” report. [1971589]
  • Introduce a version 4 of the AllCertificateRecordsCSVFormat report (i.e., AllCertificateRecordsCSVFormatV4) to consider these changes.

We also intend to update API_AddUpdateIntermediateCert to reflect these changes, but we will perform that update at a later date and in coordination with CA Owners who are actively using the API.

The NON-AUDIT DOCUMENTS tab user guide and Understanding AllCertificateRecordsReport.csv doc will be updated to reflect the changes from this enhancement in more detail.

We will send another message at the completion of the update.

Thank you

-Chris, on behalf of the CCADB Steering Committee

All,

The CCADB update to harmonize policy document field names by (1) changing instances of “Last Update Date” to “Effective Date” and (2) better reflect document supersession relative to the current date is now complete. CA Owner access to the CCADB has been restored.

This update:

  • Removed the `Is Superseded?` field from the custom “Non-Audit Documents” tab on the certificate record page layout and instead allows the `Show Superseded` function on the page to convey any document record that has a `Superseded Date` value that is less than the current date. If the CA Owner specifies a `Superseded Date` value that is in the future, the CCADB will conditionally color the date value green. [1971589]

  • Changed the associated CP, CPS, CP/CPS, and MD/AsciiDoc CP/CPS fields to reflect `Effective Date` instead of `Last Update Date` on intermediate certificate record “Details” tabs, certificate records “Non-Audit Documents” tabs, and the “Root Certificates with Outdated Non-Audit Documents CA Task List” report. [1971589]

  • Introduced a version 4 of the AllCertificateRecordsCSVFormat report (i.e., AllCertificateRecordsCSVFormatV4) to consider these changes.

The NON-AUDIT DOCUMENTS tab user guide and Understanding AllCertificateRecordsReport.csv doc were updated to reflect the changes from this enhancement in more detail.

Please continue to contact CCADB Support (sup...@ccadb.org) with any questions regarding the CCADB.

Thank you

-Chris, on behalf of the CCADB Steering Committee
