Extended software carpentry material for astronomy

Hi Azalee, Rodolfo, Phil and others!!!

I would like to let you know about Open Astronomy, an umbrella organisation that wants to bring together many organisations that does development on the open world (eg, astropy, sunpy, yt,...). Our origins were to apply together for Google summer of code, but we have done other things like a software carpentry tailored course to astronomers [1].  I would love to have more people on the Open Astronomy side that are interested in teaching the new generations :)

Please, feel free to advertise any event in the Open Astronomy mailing list and to contact me (or the others involved in the creation of the previous workshop) for any information. Unfortunately I won't be at AAS to join you all!
