Carolingia,

In June's Council meeting this past Monday, I announced that if I did not have a deputy by Falling Leaves I would have to step down. Having a deputy was the one condition I put on my taking over the Seneschal's office. Having a deputy is also a Kingdom requirement that we have been in violation of for the past 17 months. I hate to make it an ultimatum, but here we are.

I appreciate very much the gentles who have been and are willing to jump in on an emergency basis to run a meeting or be seneschal in charge at an event.

While I would much prefer that whomever steps up for deputy be interested in eventually stepping up to Seneschal (in January of 2028 or 2029) so they can have time to train up for the office, it is not a requirement at this time. I need someone who can run the occasional meeting, sometimes be the designated person in charge at events, and help me keep the Barony running smoothly - we'd briefly chat once a week via email or googlemeet to make sure everything is ok and deadlines are being met. The deputy position is not incredibly demanding in time, other than the learning part, there is a lot of reading and learning policy and law, but you can of course take your time with that.

Provided I get a deputy, I am happy to remain in office for my full 3 year term, and possibly push to a fourth year (then I HAVE to step down according to Kingdom law).

Carolingia, please, help me continue to serve the Barony. The stress of doing it all on my own is a bit too much for any one person in general, and as I'm currently navigating a personal crisis, it is acutely too much. Please, I need your help.
