Now that I've had a day to recover I'd like to thank everyone who made Dinner and Dancing with the Duchess a success. I'll start by apologizing; I did not get everyone's names to thank individually. Omissions  are entirely due to my memory and/or failure to ask for names and not a reflection of how much work anyone did or how grateful I am for it.

Thank you first and foremost to Duchess Thyra for agreeing to be a figurehead for the conceit of the day and acting as hostess, without her encouragement I'm not sure I would have gone forward with this idea. She also came early to set up, heralded Their Excellencies' court, and then stayed until the bitter end for clean up.

Thank you also to Sisuile, Richenza, Orlando, Johann, Amalberga, Erzabet and the rest of the kitchen staff for providing a wonderful feast that left no one hungry and also for teaching about how to get a feast to table at the same time. A second thank you to Erzabet and her staff of servers (and youth servers) for getting the food to and from the tables efficiently.  An extra thank you to Ki-lin and Althea for doing the bulk of the dishwashing so that food could happen and we could still get out on time.

Thank you Justin, Gundorm, Fortunata, and Thyra for teaching dancing and then leading the ball between courses. The dancing was a joy both to watch and participate in.

Thank you to the Waytes for providing music for the dancing throughout the entire day. We asked a lot of you and you delivered wonderfully.

Thank you to Their Excellencies for rolling with the schedule and having a relaxed and elongated "food court" during dinner so that we did not have to set aside extra time or change the set up of the hall at all.

Thank you to Ysane and her gate staff for getting everyone checked in efficiently so that they could start having a good time right away.

Thank you to Cassandra, Aaradyn, Symon, Jasper, and anyone else who either did set up or clean up (or both).

A special thank you to Aaradyn for helping secure the site and acting as site liaison.

Finally thank you to everyone who came and cooked, ate, gossiped, danced, and otherwise enjoyed themselves. The idea for this event was to be able to have relaxed feast-ball and there we seemed to have succeeded so thank you all!

Sincerely,
Deirdre Grenewode

I may not have gotten Dinner and Dancing with the Duchess, but Alethea and I got Doing Dishes with the Duchess which was also a joyous thing!
