Important Flu Information
Flu season is upon us. The CGE school nurse has provided some helpful links for families.
Conferences this Thursday and Friday
Parent-Teacher Conferences are this Thursday and Friday, so there's no school for students at Carlos Gilbert. If you have not been contacted by a teacher to schedule a conference, then you do not need to attend one. Questions? Follow up with your student's teacher.
Future Leaders Needed
May 1 is College and Career Day at Carlos Gilbert. This year we are looking for young people beginning their career path to talk about their goals. We would like to have four presenters who are either in high school, college, or working. Paths might include STEM, the arts, the trades, business, or nature. If you have a candidate, please contact John at jdela...@sfps.k12.nm.us. We only have a few spaces to fill. Pre-K Family Survey The school district is asking families to fill out a short survey about Pre-K. This will help with planning for the next school year. Pulling Together for Hailey Cdevaca
Hailey Cdevaca is a 5th grader at Carlos Gilbert Elementary and has recently developed an illness affecting her kidneys. She's been hospitalized and will require ongoing, frequent treatment and care in Albuquerque. Our school community is pulling together to help Hailey and her family - donations of any size are welcome through a Go Fund Me page.
Sock and Blanket Drive - donate!
Mrs. Quintana's 3rd grade class and Mrs. Stark's 1st 
grade class are leading the way for us to help folks experiencing homelessness to stay warm this winter. Please join them by donating warm socks and blankets between now and January 30. Boxes are outside their classrooms.
