Letter from Superintendent Garcia
Below is information about free meals for kids during spring break and the following school closure. Following that is an important letter from Dr. Garcia with useful information to all SFPS families. Thank you and be well!
Meals Start Early!
You may have already received word that the Santa Fe Public Schools are making free meals available to students starting TODAY, Monday 3/16. These are at special "drive up" sites. Here are all the details in a news release from the district.
The basics:
Santa Fe Public Schools is distributing free meals to any child, age 18 and under, during the following times:
The child must be in the car to receive a meal.
"Drive-up" distribution points for free meals for children are at the following locations:

Letter from Superintendent Garcia
In this letter Dr. Garcia outlines some of the steps SFPS is taking during the current coronavirus/COVID-19 situation.
The letter contains information on changes in the district during the school closure (March 16 - April 5). This includes:
- Remote digital learning
- Student meals
- What's still open - Early Childhood Centers, Adelante, and the Sky Center
- Hotline - Health-related COVID-19 hotline call 1-855-600-3453
- Hotline - Childcare, Food insecurity, supplies, loss of income hotline call 1-833-551-0518
It also includes information on talking with children about this public health crisis and also has links to online learning resources.
