STEAM your way into summer!
Carlos Gilbert is having a 10 day Extended Learning Summer Program! The program runs from June 1st through June 12th at CGE from 7:50AM until 2:50PM. This program is open to current CGE students in Kindergarten through 5th grade and is free of charge.
The focus is STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math! Also, we will take walking field trips to explore what downtown Santa Fe has to offer! Parents must commit to sending their child each of the 10 days and provide their own transportation to and from school. A registration form will be sent home in next week's Thursday folder. The deadline to register is March 12th.
Reminder: Inclement Weather Procedures
If you curious about the process for how the Santa Fe Public Schools makes determinations about weather, closures, etc., please view this page. Updates and information also on the district site.

| Halloween Carnival 2020 Planning |
We are kicking off planning for the
2020 Halloween Carnival!
You do NOT need to attend the Carnival planning meetings to volunteer. We can communicate via email, text and phone.
1. Community donations: Do you know a local business that would like to donate goods, services or a gift certificate to Carnival? Or, do you want to help us reach out to local businesses? We're starting to gather items now, rather than waiting until school gets back into swing next year. If you want to help gather donations, email sa...@carlosgilbertptk.com if you're interested.
2. Games: Ever wonder about the magic behind the amazing games at the Carnival, like Shark Bite, String Pull and Toilet Toss? We're looking for parents to help set up and manage the games next year! Email sa...@carlosgilbertptk.com if you are interested.
3. Marketing: Can you help us get the word out about Carnival? We're looking for parents to help spread the word in the community and on social media. We can share what we have done in the past and are always looking for fresh ideas. Email sa...@carlosgilbertptk.com if you are interested.
4. Tech: We need a few tech-savvy parents to help with things like managing the WiFi/iPads used for ticket sales and music at some of the games (
