Apply to Live in the Cultural Houses (Extended Deadline!)

Are you interested in living in a community that cultivates culture and individuality? Apply to live in one of the three cultural houses that are a part of the interest house community on campus: ASIA, Casa del Sol and Freedom. This deadline has been extended to April 2.  For students who are studying abroad during Spring term, the application seadline is this Friday, February 28th.  Applications will be reviewed until March 2nd, and interviews will be held between March 5th - 10th.  Notifications will be sent out to all students who participated in the application process by April 21st. Become an OIIL Peer Leader 

First-Years, Sophomores and Juniors, are you interested in mentoring first-year students during the 2020-21 academic year? The purpose of the OIIL Peer Leader Program is to enhance the retention of domestic students of color and international students by mentoring first-year students and encouraging their academic, social, and cultural development. OIIL Peer Leaders foster cross-cultural dialogue in the service of greater awareness, empathy, mutual respect, acceptance, and recognition. To apply, visit this link. Art for Donations to Support China During Coronavirus

Stop by Sayles during Week 9 Wednesday and Week 10 Monday between 12pm-5pm to donate funds to support China with medical supplies (N95 masks, goggles, and protective suits) to protect against the Coronavirus outbreak.  We will be giving ceramics and calligraphy art to thank you for your generous donations. We are planning to purchase supplies and will be working with a larger organization in California to get supplies directly to hospitals in Wuhan and mainland China.  If you have questions or want more information about how to donate, contact so...@carleton.edu or re...@carleton.edu.

Work for Carleton Summer Liberal Arts Institute (Summer 2020)

The Carleton Summer Liberal Arts Institute is a summer learning community dedicated to bridging the gap between K-12 and a liberal arts undergraduate education. Applications are due THIS Friday February 28 for Humanities Program Research Assistant, and April 6 for Program and Community Assistants . The Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT)

The IRT addresses the lack of diversity in the nation's teaching faculties by recruiting outstanding students of color and other scholars committed to diversity, counseling them through the graduate school application process, and advocating for sufficient funding for advanced study. We work with students who are interested in teaching, counseling, or administration in both K-12 and higher education, and we accept students who plan on pursuing graduate studies in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.  Find out more at irt.andover.edu, apply here. Immigrant Justice Corp Fellowship

Applications are now open for the Immigrant Justice Corps fellowships.  These fellowships are two-year, paid opportunities for college graduates with an interest in the legal side of advocacy for immigrant communities in the US.  Fellows work alongside lawyers at one of 42+ host organizations around the country.
