Join us on Zoom this Saturday, April 17, as we celebrate the Comps projects of the following CAMS Seniors.  Each student will have 10 minutes to present and 10 minutes for questions from the audience.

  • 10:00 am - Louisa Ballinger will present Tetherball, a TV Comedy Pilot Script.  Taylor used to be a love-struck 9 year-old, smitten with the coolest girl in her class, Marina.  Now, 16 years later, Marina has returned to the town where she and Taylor grew up, just in time to complicate Taylor's new life just a little bit more.

  • 10:20 am - Victor Medoza-Garcia
  • 10:40 am - short break
  • 10:50 am - Charlotte Rew presents Desire Paths. There are desire paths scattered everywhere in plain sight, but these paths formed by the repeated use of a shortcut hold more significance than meets the eye. In this essay film, desire paths and their connection to our obsession with saving time lead into a broader analysis of time itself. Through imagery of the passage of time and stories of people's pastimes, this film encourages everyone to reflect on their own relationship with this force that dictates our lives.
  • 11:10 am - Reese McMillan will present Pending, an experimental non-fiction short depicting the final stages of a Dog's life. The project is composed of observational footage blended together in a surrealistic manner with a focus on the emotional details of the dog's passing. The result is an experiential piece that calls to question the meaning of a restricted life and a painful death.

Comps Projects are available for viewing before the Symposium.
