Hi everyone!

Ragdoll Workshop 3.0.0b5 is now ready! If you have not received an email from me with the Unity package, and have confirmed it did not go to your spam, please email support@candlelightinteractive.com.

Changes
Because I had to do maintenance on all of my packages the last few weeks in preparation for Unity 5.2, the list of new features isn't huge, but there are a couple in addition to various bug fixes. I made a short demo video and of course documented the changes, but the main new features include:
  • Added support for arbitrary chains in naming convention assets
  • Added support for arbitrary chains in characterization templates
  • Added Quadruped and Theropod characterization templates (currently just tuned to Mixamo models)
As always, please consult the documentation before updating and when/if you encounter bugs! Note among other things that these features did bring along changes to the serialization layout for arbitrary chains, so you will need to re-define any you may previously have had on your Ragdoll/RagdollAnimator components.

Unity Versions
Although I have also mentioned it elsewhere, I want to re-emphasize two known issues:
  1. The only Unity version currently confirmed to be able to successfully do IL2CPP builds is 5.1.3p3
  2. 5.2.0f3 introduced a Mecanim bug that makes it not work RagdollAnimator. I have been told this would be addressed in the first patch release, but as it is not yet available I am unable to confirm it.

It looks like 5.2.1 that was released yesterday fixed the mecanim bug that you mentioned in 5.2.0f3.

I downloaded 5.2.1 and ran the Example scene and the characters ragdolled as expected.
