When changing the alpha value of a hypertext, it appears that when alpha is set to 0, the quads in hypertext will be invisable, but any alpha value above 0 will render the quads like their alpha are set to 255;
So when I tried to fade out the texts, the quads stand still.

Can we set the quads' alpha altogether with the texts? Or maybe we shall be able to set them individually?

Hi! How are you setting the alpha exactly? Based on what I can tell from your images, the recommended approach here is probably to use a CanvasGroup component and set the alpha on it.

I was changing the "a" color value of the text, then I tried to use a mask on it and set the "a" value of the mask.

I'm not 100% clear on what pathway you were using to do this (e.g., changing the color on the style sheet or directly changing vertex colors on the CanvasRenderer) but it doesn't sound like the correct way to go about it. Does the CanvasGroup approach work for what you need?
