I posted this same question about a year ago and go it to work to add the camera to Camect. After a few months it stopped working and I figured that the camera stopped working. Today I checked the Reolink app and see that the camera is working.

Now when I try to add it to Camect I can't get it to work. I'm able to connect using VLC player but using the same URL that worked before no longer works. Any ideas?

When I use the same URL that works in VLC I get this in Camect

Failed to add new camera: Camera status came back as LOST

Make sure you are using type "Stream URL" (not "Reolink") when trying to add the camera, and that you have deleted any previous attempts that didn't work.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, then open the hub settings and use "Report Bug" to report the issue after trying and failing to add the camera using the URL that worked fine with VLC.

Selecting "Stream URL" worked. Not sure why it stopped working but when I checked the RTSP was disabled on the camera. I know that I had that enabled because it would not have worked without. From what I read RTPS will be disabled when updating the firmware. I did not update it so again not sure but now it works. Now I know what to look for if it stops working again
