Is there a trick to enable the Pan/Tilt on Reolink E1 Pro with CAMECT?

It works well in the Reolink app, but not in CAMECT.

(There is no zoom in this model.). Thank you.

I have several different versions of the E1 Pro and the PT doesn’t work in Camect for any of them.  I started trying to debug this with the Camect crew a while back, but I need to circle back with them because I kind of let it drop.  If Camect can tell me why the ONVIF profile doesn’t seem to report the PT functions, I’m hoping I can get ReoLink to update their firmware to fix the problem.  In my experience with them to date, they have been very responsive to support issues, so I think there’s a chance this can get resolved if I can tell them what needs to be modified.

I thank you. I will reach out to Reolink, too, as I have several in unopened boxes. I did enable the ONVIF, too, and I wonder if CAMECT does not like the lack of Zoom.

I don’t think it’s the lack of zoom, because I have some of the E1 cams that also have optical zoom, and Camect doesn’t see the PTZ functions on those either.  The Camect guys are looking into it, so I would give it a little time and see what they come up with.  They’re usually quite responsive.  If we can get some direction from them on why the ONVIF profile doesn’t let Camect see the PT/PTZ functions, I’m somewhat confident we can get ReoLink to update the firmware.

did you make any progress on this?  I have 3 of the E1 cameras so far and plan on adding 2 more!  I'd love to get PTZ working in camect

Arlo,

Nothing new that I’m aware of.

Here to say that I'd like to get PTZ working as well on an E1.

There is some problem in Reolink's ONVIF implementation.
However, you should be able to force your hub to assume it supports PTZ in the camera settings dialog.
You'll need to add the camera as ONVIF, not using RTSP URL.
By default, E1 disable ONVIF. Please enable ONVIF before you add it to the hub.
