The latest version of websockets has broken the Python API:
Can this be fixed?  I'll generate a PR if necessary, but it's a simple change.

For now I have changed my program requirements to websockets<13 so it is working, that should be changed in Camect API setup.py or accept my PR and I'll change my requirements.

I am surprised that websockets would do such incompatible changes.
13.x was released less than 3 months ago.
I am afraid updating the code to make it only work for >=13 version will break many other's code.
I intend to hold the change for a while to see whether others will ask for the same thing. What do you think?

Yes, I agree.  Pretty shocking that option would be changed and not be backwards compatible.  I understand not wanting to change for a while since forcing my apps requirements fixes the issue for now.
