It seems once I turned off email notifications, the setting for syntax doesn't matter. I was hoping the syntax would apply to both email and Telegram alerts.  For example, I don't see a date on the Telegram alert notice <camera_name> saw <object_type> at <time_only> rather than <home_name> <date> <time> etc...

Perhaps I am missing something?

Right now there's no way to configure the format of the telegram message. What change would you have liked to make?

We considered having using the email subject format in the past and decided against it, because the point of the email subject is to change the way that your email reader groups messages. We figured that what you'd set for email is not necessarily what you'd want for telegram as the format cannot affect grouping in any way in telegram.
For example, you might want the date without the time in email subject so you get a thread per day, but that would be weird in telegram ... telegram itself supplies the date so you don't need it, but you probably do want to know the time.

If you do not wish to use the same format for email and messaging then just put the same option setting in each to let the owner decide.

Personally, I have a decent email agent that can parse things however I want, but the email themselves are more a persistent log than an actionable alert (due to store and forward nature of email).

I do not see any date on the Alerts in Telegram on my Pixel phone but perhaps it is somewhere I am not looking (besides in the actual recorded image).

If the same custom date field options existed for non-email alerts as email alerts that should be fine.

Thank you.
