My setup: 6 cameras, operating in 2560x1440, 25 fps, H.265 encoding. The cameras are Reolink. According to Camect that adds up to "22.12 MP live: 22.12 MP" (Settings>(i)).

My Camect is an early model from Kickstart, limited to 24 MP (which it would seem I am not exceeding). I also have a USB Coral plugged in.

On occasion, when watching the standard hub view (with six camera views in my case), one or more cameras will start to display decoding artefacts. It usually happens at least one third down the picture, or more. It takes the shape of loosing precision in one color channel (image is recognizable, but wrong color from that point), any number of distorted 8x8 or 16x16 blocks, or the same followed by what I would call a "schear" until the end of the image.

A second problem I have seen is that playback of events (in this view) becomes problematic. Sometimes the thumbnails stay in "Loading...", or they rapidly flicker, saying "Thumbnail not available." Additionally, actual playback may crawl at speeds below 0.2x. Once, in this situation, the hub rebooted itself. I submitted a bug report, haven't heard anything back.

I also think I noticed, once, that if I restarted my browser, the issue went away.

As far as I can tell, these issues are not present if I go to an individual camera and play back the period in question (in other words the recording seems ok),

So, does anybody know:
* Could this be the result of overloading Camect (which technically I think I am not)
* Could this be the result of dropped packets during playback (browser?)
* Any other possible causes
* Any suggestions on how to improve the situation, short of removing a camera?
