I have a dome-camera that due to placement had to be set in such a way it shows the picture upside-down.
It would be great to have some simple settings to flip the image orientation - maybe even in three 90 (90, 180, 270) degree iterations to cover any such problem?

Most cameras have settings that allow you to do this. Have you checked the camera UI to see if yours has it?
