unable to disable email alerts

I had email alerts enabled for a while. Now that I've shifted all of my alerting over to Home Assistant and Alexa, I can't disable the email alerts. If I uncheck send alerts via email or app, Camect no longer publishes events to it's events API which I'm using for my Home Assistant notifications. 

So I thought, what if I uncheck this box that says "Send me camera alerts by email". Nope, still get email.

 The only other choice I have that I know of was to select "Disable notifications" from the user profile menu, which also did not stop the email notifications.

What am I missing?

Unchecking "send me camera alerts by email" is what you want, but if you're doing it in the "me" tab in home settings, that's the global default that applies unless specific cameras override it. 

Take one of the cameras from which you're receiving email, go to the camera settings for that camera, and see if the "me" tab on that camera is set to "use home settings" (i.e. honor the default) or has its own setting.
