I have a Reolink doorbell that I can log into via the web interface, I can see it via the Reolink Client, I can attach a QVR Pro to it and record, but Camect just gives me the triangle/exclamation point and “Unable to Connect.”

*Why* is it unable to connect? The password is accurate, and I’ve checked everything I can think of.

Have you tried using VLC to access the RTSP url for it, or done anything else to confirm whether RTSP is enabled on it?  The manufacturer apps often do not use RTSP to access the video.

Reolink cameras disable RTSP by default. It can only be enabled in the browser:
- Open http://IP/ in your browser. You might have to use HTTPS instead as some cameras disable HTTP by default too.
- Click the settings icon at the top right corner.
- Click "Network"
- Expand "Advanced"
- Click "Set up" below "Server settings"
- Enable RTSP. Please enable HTTP too if you want to use ONVIF.

V2 and V1 won't be different here..
You should be able to see the details if you click the "unable to connect" message in the V2 UI.
Based on what you said, it sounds like the IP of the doorbell has changed..
Please file a bug report from the hub.

Yes, I’m aware of that.

The doorbell *was* working just fine until I got the “Unable to Connect” message that did not go away until after I rebooted the Camect box. I had also rebooted the doorbell, but that didn’t seem to have any effect.

I will be checking v2 if it happens again. It’s just frustrating to get a message that says “Unable to Connect” from Camect when literally everything else I tried (Reolink client, web interface, QVR Pro, VLC RTSP stream , IPCams.app on iPhone *and* on Apple TV - all of them worked, but Camect just threw “Unable to Connect!”) worked just fine.

The IP didn’t change. I use static IPs on all of my cameras to avoid that scenario.

And those devices that won’t accept a static IP get a reserved DHCP assignment via MAC address.

Have you checked the reolink camera's settings in the browser?
After upgrading the firmware, reolink may disable RTSP automatically.
Please file a bug report after you have confirmed that the RTSP is still enabled on the camera.

The RTSP URL is wrong.  See https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000630706-Introduction-to-RTSP/
You can also add it as ONVIF camera using URL "http://IP/onvif/device_service"

Just to be sure: after you use the web client to enable rtsp you need to manually add the camera to Camect by providing the appropriate url. For my situation this URL is
You cannot successfully connect using “Add Camera” and then selecting Reolink and just putting in a URL with http and just the ip address (and username/password). You have to select “Stream URL” and fill in the above, modified with your username and password, and correct IP address.

Yes, I did check the service settings on the camera from reolink app, all enabled. Also I tried remove the camera from hub and  manually add again, it shows "failed to add new camera"  Where should I report the bug? I couldn't not find the link on hub UI. Thanks!
