Hi,
I'm trying to get the Camect going and am facing an error with 3 of the 6 cameras I have.  Any ideas on how i can correct the problem?  The cameras are all from Hikvision.

Thanks
Niten

If you are sure that the username and password you provided for those 3 cameras is correct (and you can check it from the camera settings), then either leave them alone and wait half an hour, or reboot the camera. Most likely, the password was wrong once or twice and the camera has temporarily locked you out.

The cameras were unboxed and installed today by the installers… they didn’t power them on before they were installed...

Now that it has been a while, have your cameras connected?

Also, your device sent in a crash report that I happened to notice. It looks like you are overloading it -- We recommend a maximum of 24MP total camera resolution on a single device, and right now you are up to 34MP total, so you're probably going to see poor performance at times. If you're only using it to get alerts you might still be fine, but I would not expect the interactive viewing experience to be good.

If you have a few 8MP cameras with the device, consider manually adding those cameras using the RTSP url for a lower-res substream, rather than using the automatically-discovered full-resolution stream.

So I got 2 of the 3 working... Camect changed the passwords on all of the cameras that were installed from the default.  Now the last one I'm at a loss with.  I know the password is right because I can log into the web interface, but when I try that username/password combo in Camect it says the Camera Doesn't Allow Access...  any ideas?

Same reaction as last time -- i.e. Make sure the password is correct in Camect, and then either reboot the camera or wait a while. We have many users using Hikvision cameras, so it's fairly unlikely that your camera is incompatible or that there's a bug causing problems.

Are you using different password on different Hikvision cameras?

All the cameras are up.  Camect set the passwords to all of the cameras, but the one that was giving me an issue had a different password.  Rebooting the problematic camera fixed the issue.
