Hello,

I noticed an issue with the At Home status when using several access points.
I have 3 wifi access points in my house.
The first one is the all in one box from my internet provider (wifi signal 1). Then I have a switch connected to that router where I have 2 POE access points (wifi signal 2 and wifi signal 3). Camect is also connected to that switch.
Well, it appears that the at home status gets enable / disabled only when my mobile I connect to my network through signal 1.
Signal 2 and 3 doesn't seem to taken into consideration. However they do work as I have several devices connected through these access points

Any thoughts?

Camect tracks your phone by recognizing the MAC address that the phone uses to connect to your WiFi. Most access points expose the real MAC address of connected devices, but some (usually network extenders) do not expose the real MAC address, and instead use a made-up one. I am guessing that signal 2 and 3 may be in the latter category.

If your 3 access points are not set up for the same SSID, another possibility is that you have signal 2 and signal 3 set up as independent routers with your switch plugged into the "WAN" port on each one. If that's the case, each router is making all devices on the "LAN" side of the network invisible to anything on the "WAN" side, just as it would do if the WAN side were connected straight to the internet. If this is how you have it set up, you might be able to resolve the issue by connecting your switch to one of the LAN ports instead. However, you also need to turn off the DHCP server on the router (Signal 2 or 3 as the case may be) whose connection you are moving, so that all DHCP addresses come from your main ISP router.    (I have no idea how technical you are -- If this paragraph does not make sense to you, maybe ask someone who knows about networking to help you before trying to change anything.)

Thanks very much for the prompt and clear reply!
All DHCP addresses already come from the main ISP router so I think I may fall into the first case you describe where the access points use a made up MAC address. I'll check whether this is something that I can disable via the access point settings.
Thanks a lot and congrats for this great product, has lots of potential!

If you're ever considering a consolidation of APs, just tossing out that Ubiquiti gear is both excellent and pretty cheap. I run multi AP setups at two locations with their gear, and it's been flawless. You can set up the controller on a raspi and it will share hardware with a pi-hole just fine so you get the adblocking benefit at the same time.

Seconded. I run all Ubiquiti for APs, here, and I've got a couple of Ubiquiti RocketDishes set up as AREDN nodes up on the roof - we're using Ubiquiti WISP gear with custom firmware to build an amateur radio mesh network.

I run  Ubiquiti   equipment in my home too.   2 AP in my house, Security Gateway, and a POE Switch.   Love it.   Glad I got rid of my old multiple devices.
