Where would you connect a "TV monitor?" The HDMI ports on the Camect box are for diagnostics only - not for the consumer to use for much of anything.

I was wondering if there was a way to use one of hdmi ports to output video!

No... Not at present and not likely in the foreseeable future. However, we do plan to allow you to be able to send video to any cast receiver (like a chromecast, or an android tv, or a google home hub). When we get there chromecast will probably be the easiest way to view on a TV or monitor.

We're starting to look at Alexa integration now (before the above) and I'm not sure, but when we have something working that might also make it possible to use a firestick with a tv or monitor.

You can do that today with a ChromeCast, Roku, or probably other TV devices by using Screen Mirroring or Cast from android devices or PC.  Apple probably has something too.

I just confirmed this with a newer ChromeCast, but my older device does not support it.

The latest CC even turns on the Samsung 9000 TV when it's activated. The older CC says "Source not supported" in the Google Chome menu for Cast.

The spam message still made it into the Abstract, with the link intact.
