Just got this camera and set it up, and the zoom/focus controls for it don't appear. I can confirm both those features work from being logged into the camera directly.

Any thoughts? It was purchased from Amazon here: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07HP2SB2B

I don't see that camera having Pan and Tilt.   Optical Zoom yes, but not the PT part of PTZ.

Dahua has multiple PTZ protocols, and it's possible there's still one we don't support (although I wasn't aware of it).

Have you tried adding the camera as an Onvif camera to see if that works any better?

home settings > device > add camera

Set the type to "Onvif" and enter the ip address.

Will - You're correct, I'm just being sloppy with my terminology. I figured a zoom only issue may also run through into full PTZ cameras so it would be easier for people to find in a search later on.

Arup - Just tried adding via ONVIF and the zoom settings still don't show up. Other than maybe showing the zoom, would anything else be better to leave it as ONVIF vs the auto-find method?

No. There's probably no additional benefit to using the Onvif variant. If anything, Amcrest/Dahua driver (i.e. the auto-detected variant) may have more functionality.

Could you email sup...@camect.com with the contents of this page:

where IPADDRESS is the ip address of your camera. (I'm just curious to see what capabilities the camera is advertising.) Thanks ...

To follow-up for anyone in the future, this particular camera doesn't seem to support zoom outside of being logged in to it's firmware. If purchased through my link, you'll get an UNBRANDED "Dahua" camera, that comes with instructions in the box to NOT UPDATE the firmware. It loads in the usual font, but the logos all say "IP Camera" instead of "Dahua/Amcrest/Lorex" like you usually see on these cameras.

Super cheap camera, but buyer beware, at least a little bit.
