On an IOS device, Iphone Max 13 Pro I think, we have gone to home.camect.com and after logging in, did a share to home screen to create an icon.  However, every time we click on the icon for the progressive web app, it requires login (using email with link to login).  On Android devices it is remembering the login, while using email address for login.

Is this an IOS setting or does IOS simply not remember the login if using simple email address login?

It's supposed to work the same way for iOS as well (and does for me on an older iOS phone). Are you aware of having changed any privacy-related settings (either for the phone or for Safari) that could be causing it not to remember?

Also, have you tried the native app ("Camect Viewer")?  Does it have the same issue?

I don't believe any Safari settings have been changed.  The Camect Viewer does remember the login, as expected.  It's only when relaunching the web app that forces a new login and email link every time.

Okay, it does look like there's a specific limitation that affects only email sign-in on iOS, i.e. any other type of sign in will work, but the problem is that when you click the link from an email sign in, the result opens in Safari, not the PWA.  We'll look into it but I'm not sure if iOS has a way to have the link to open in the PWA like Android does.

Possible workarounds are to use the native app, or to create an alternative sign in on a cloud provider. You can make a google account with any email account here (i.e. you don't need to switch to gmail) if using "sign in with Google" would be acceptable.

Thanks. I'll switch to Google login for that device.
