Hi folks,

I have a test set with two Wyze cams and an Amcrest.

It seems to me that detection has deteriorated over the last couple of weeks or so.  I used to get reliable reports form the two Wyze cams and the Amcrest wasn't setup, just plugged in.  I relocated one W to cover the back deck and it reported my wife going out once, but not returning.  When I checked with her she reveled that she had been in and out several times, but the cam only reported the one.

Similarly, the drive W is often. missing things.  I went out to get mail, I detected me going out, but not coming back.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Graham

Hi Graham,

If you're not already familiar with it, please check out pages 15 and 16 of the "Learning More about Camect" guide linked off camect.com/welcome. It covers how to check the recorded footage to see why an alert was not sent. If it's really a missed detection (the last of the 4 possibilities), then if you share some video clips you'll help us to fix the the problem.

From your description, however, I'm guessing that some of your misses are auto-suppressions, which you can override if you want by rating some objects thumbs-up.

Thanks,
Arup

I have marked them and we’ll see if the system “learns”.  How much tagging is necessary?

Cheers

If you used thumbs up, and did NOT check the checkbox to say the rating was specific to the area in which the alert occurred, then it should only take one rating for it to mark all alerts containing objects of the same type as interesting in future.
