I've had the model listed for several months and it has been fine. No auto-updates enabled.

Suddenly it no longer allows access from Camect, which reports "incorrect user name and password."

I'm feeding in exactly the same username/pwd combo I use to successfully log in to the camera directly.

I've rebooted the camera, pulled power and restarted, created a new user in the camera and  switched the camect credentials to those, all with no luck. I've deleted the camera from Camect and tried adding it back. Still complains of credential problems.

The only thing I haven't done is completely reset the camera to factory spec. Thoughts?

Did you change the username/password before the problem started to occur?

See if you can fetch video from the RTSP url directly by using VLC per the support article here, using the same username and password.

Seems like the camera itself is having some sort of problem. It's now very slow to load the admin access page, if it even loads it.

After a reboot of the camera, VLC does something I've never seen before: No errors, no complaints at all, but it does not display any stream or even open a window to try to do so.

Oh and I did not change the password.

And now I can get VLC to connect on rtsp://admin:password@ip_address:554/h264Preview_01_sub

But Camect still won't connect with the same credentials. Camect even says "user name and password are configured correctly"

If the main stream RTSP url won't work in VLC, it probably won't work in Camect either. It sounds like with the primary url the username/password worked in VLC, and they are working in Camect too. (That's why it says they're configured correctly.)

Try adding the substream url (i.e. the one that works in VLC) to your hub manually, via hub settings > cameras > add new camera   ... Be sure to set the "type" to "Stream URL" rather than to "Reolink".

The thing that gets me is this camera HAS WORKED, for quite a while. I did not change the user name or password. I did tweak stream settings in an effort to make it more network reliable. Also the sub stream is a tiny 640x480, so not exactly ideal.

But I've now reset the camera and set it back up, and I'm still having trouble. The same trouble.

Also I keep getting "awaiting moderator approval" when I post. Can that be dealt with too? I realize I don't post much, but still. Legit user!

I tried rtsp://admin:password@ip_address:554/h264Preview_01_sub (with the correct credentials) and got "failed to add camera."

I downloaded a new firmware and installed it. The new firmware RLC_510WA_21121712 had a switch for turning on RTSP and ONVIF, though they were set to OFF by default. As soon as I enabled them, Camect found the camera and it's back in my system.

All very odd, since I only just now upgraded the firmware. I still don't understand why the camera stopped talking to Camect in the first place, but here we are. Working now!
