The Wamr project would like to announce an upcoming security release. The release is expected to be available around 2025-10-15.
Please note that it includes a disclosed issue, PR#4611 https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasm-micro-runtime/pull/4611, regarding the socket API in Wasm, which has already been merged into the main branch.

[Updated 2025-10-25] Security release available.
WAMR release version v2.4.3 is now available. The binary release can be found on GitHub at https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasm-micro-runtime/releases/tag/WAMR-2.4.3. This release addresses the following security issues https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasm-micro-runtime/pull/4665. This release serves as an important reminder.
We’ll be conducting a full review of our security practices to ensure ample notification is provided for future security releases.
