Dear Guru Maharaj and respected devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Recently a devotee from Gaudiya Matha stated that the widely recited story of Sukadev Goswami being a parrot of Radharani has no basis in Guru, Sadhu or Sastra. He quoted an article from one of the Gaudiya Maths (which can be very easily found on the internet) to support his position.
He stated that the pastime of Sukadeva being Radharani's parrot is often cited from Ananda Vrindavan Champu (Kavi Karnapurna Das) or Gopal Champu (Sri Jiva Goswami), however it is nowhere to be found here.
Due to my limited intelligence, I am confused about this issue also. Is there any sastric evidence or evidence from previous acaryas where the identity of Sukadev Goswami as Radharani's parrot is established?
Thank you in advance.
Your servant
