Halloween Picnic Online:

 We could not have a in person picnic this year during the summer so on October 31, 2020 from 1pm to 9pm BSFS will have a “picnic” online in Gather.town (an easy to use service where you don't need an account). If you intend to attend send email to eric at bsfs dot org to let him know how many places to set up in cyberspace. This is free to you, but we need to reserve enough spots for everyone. Book Club Meeting at BSFS is Online This Month:

The next BSFS book club meeting will be held October 24, 2020 at 6:30 PM as ZOOM Teleconference. Featured Book: Feed by Mira Grant the 2021 Balticon's GoH Seanan McGuire writing under her secret identity. By Teleconference as Zoom Meeting. Zoom details at www,bsfs.org one week before event.




1632 Ring of Fire Virtual Con:

Baen Books is doing a 1632 Ring of Fire Virtual Con this weekend, August 8-11, 2020 with 4 tracks of free programming. Baltimore ComicCon Virtual Con 2020:

The Baltimore ComicCon will be a virtual free event this year held October 23-25. Go to https://baltimorecomiccon.com/ for more details. Everyone that paid for something at their 2020 convention will have that paid for item delivered at their 2021 convention.



Alphabet Soup Gaming at BSFS:

This event is still on hiatus due to virus. It is hard to do a Board gaming using the Hal Haag Memorial game collection with proper social distancing.  For more info contact artb at bsfs dot org





Film Night at BSFS:

We could do a watch party, but without out 10 ft screen and in person… So, until we can meet in something a little less than 6 ft apart we are holding off.

Anime Social at BSFS online Watch Party:

 Next held on October 24, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is a day of anime watching and just general hanging out normally, but due to the virus this will be a watch party on the discord server. The watch party will view Healin’ Good Pretty Cure 1-3 @ 2:00PM, Symphogear (season 1) 1-3 @ 3:30PM, and of course, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba 19-20 @ 5:00PM. Writers Circle at BSFS Online:

BSFS sponsors a Writing Circle 6:30-8:30pm usually meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month inside the BSFS Building, however, near term this means teleconference only by zoom on 10/08/2020 and 10/22/2020.
