Memorial for  BSFS Members and Friends That Passed During Pandemic:

On October 8, 2022 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, given we were not able to hold memorials for our friends properly over the past few years, we are holding a joint Memorial Event this day at the BSFS Building for all those who died during this tragic time. All are welcome. People we lost include: Dalroy Ward, Larry Sands, Bonnie Schupp, Donna Dearborn, Rikk Jacobs, Ted Rosenberg, Phyllis Kramer, Barry Newton, Priscilla Newham, Steve Stiles, Michele Rosenberg, and Mike Hakulin, Sr.  Directions to our building can be found at https://www.bsfs.org/bsfsdrct.htm for this or any other event below.

Film Night at BSFS:

On October 15, 2022 at 7:00 PM+ (building opens at 6:00 PM for early folks) with fun fan films and professional productions our license allows. This month the fantastic Harry Potter fan film Mudblood followed by Thor: Love and Thunder  all on our 10 ft screen. The license we have says we can not advertise on the web to avoid competition with first run theaters but can distribute direct email. That is why our website is always cryptic about Film Night titles and we use that strange download pdf and use movie as password bit there. In any case come on down and watch with a bunch of other SF Fans....

Sunday Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event at Online:

 Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event is back October 30, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Anime Social at BSFS:

Returns October 22, 2022 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the BSFS Building. Items to be screened include getting our spook on with Toilet Bound Hanako-kun episodes 1-3 @ 2pm. A freshman high-school student who wants a boyfriend summons the famous ghost “Hanako-San of the toilet” at 3:30pm with Mieruko-chan episodes 1-3 where aHigh school student Miko Yotsuya has the unfortunate ability to see horrifying ghosts. Writers Circle at BSFS:

BSFS sponsors a Writing Circle 6:30-8:30pm usually meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month which near term is teleconference only by zoom and on 10/13/2022 and 10/27/2022. Baltimore comic-con:

Will be held October 28-30, 2022 at the Baltimore Convention Center with Show Hours of Friday, 1pm-7pm; Saturday, 10am-7pm; Sunday, 10am-5pm. BSFS will have a table so stop on by and say hello if you attend. Lots of comic book artists and dealers and associated stuff. Imaging Balticon with a huge dealers room that merges the art show into it and only focused on comic arts and with only two or so program tracks and it all only keeps dealers room hours...    No mask or vaccine mandate.
