Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event at BSFS:

Next held March 27, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Meeting on the Discord server at https://discord.gg/5U3s2YzPzQ To participate by Discord you do need to register for Discord if you have never done so before, but the process is fairly easy. Anime Social at BSFS:

Next held on March 26, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is usually a day of anime watching and just general hanging out. This month as a discord watch party and in-person at the BSFS Building. Titles this time are TBD, check back closer to event. On the day just show up at the BSFS Building or go to the Discord Server at https://discord.gg/5U3s2YzPzQ and select from the available channels #wach-parties. You do need to register for Discord if you have never done so before, but the process is fairly easy. For more info or suggest titles for the future contact anime at BSFS dot org




Borrow and bring back books from BSFS’s 14,000 item free lending library at any event or meeting at the BSFS Building.



Balticon Update:

Registration for Balticon (May 27-30, 2022) is open and memberships to the convention are flowing in. The room block is open and our sleeping room block is now at 36% full and growing at ~ 1% a day.  (past 5 days) Everything is coming together nicely for our return to an in-person Balticon. Register for memberships or sleeping rooms and/or examine out stunning guest of honor list at www.balticon.org where you can also find updates to the list of program participants and details about the art show that were recently posted.




Costume Con In Maryland:

Costume Con is a non-profit convention that serves as exhibit, performance and workshop training event of the costuming fan community. Multiple masquerades including separate SF, and Historical masquerades. This is their 40th year in a row and this year it is being held in our state at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Convention Center during April 1 to 4, 2022. Writers Circle at BSFS:

BSFS sponsors a Writing Circle 6:30-8:30pm usually meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month inside the BSFS Building, however, near term this means teleconference only by zoom 03/10/2022 and 03/24/2022. Participants prefer to stay on zoom for now. This is a SF and Fantasy focused writing group. If you write check it out.
